DIETS My husband stresses me out, so I went on Paxil. Now I have gained 30 pounds. I seem to have a choice of relaxed and heavy, or skinny & stressed. What do I do? Talk to your doctor. Try Zoloft or Lexipro, you might not get the same side effects. My weight has always been a battle for me, but for years I was winning the battle. Suddenly, I am losing. What do I do? Your body changes metabolism when you have children, and again when you get older (late 30's). Have you started a new medication? Some heart medications, and mood stabilizers (Zoloft & Paxil) can make you gain weight. So can the pill. Keep exercising, and remember life is not a swim suit contest. I am trying hard to diet, but I'm not losing much, and these weight shakes and frozen dinners cost more than I can afford. Any advice that will work? Eat cereal with skim milk for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, have a lean piece of chicken and some plain vegetables. You can do it! I am trying so hard to lose weight, but I just can't stop snacking between meals! I have tried chewing gum, but it doesn't help. I don't want to be hopped up on diet pills. What can I do? Instead of trying not to snack, plan a healthy snack. Buy a big bag of baby carrots. Split them into individual servings in baggies. Always keep some in your purse or desk along with a can of V-8, a bottle of water, and a large apple. I Was Told copyright 2006 |
