PERIODS I have been having my period for about a year now. I have just started using tampons and I was wondering, when you use them are you still suppose to bleed past the tampon? Because when I use them, I still bleed a little. Sure, that is normal. That is why you should always wear panty shields, panty liners, or a mini pad. If you are leaking a lot, trying using a super tampon instead of a regular. This new couple invited my husband and I over for dinner. They have a beautiful apartment, very expensively furnished. I went to use the bathroom, and there was no trash can! I had to put something disgusting in my purse and take it home, because there was no place to put it. And it wasn't like it was the guest bathroom, it was the ONLY bathroom. I had this happen once, and I wrapped it in tissue and put it under the bathroom sink. When they found it some day, I hope they got the hint to put a trash can in there. There is a woman in my office who really smells when she gets her period. She smells so bad that people coming into the office have asked us if we forgot to take out the trash. What do we do? Buy air freshener, open a window, and if you have the nerve, either talk to her or write her a note or e-mail asking her to use deodorant feminine products. I just started my period and it is very heavy. I often go through a whole pad during one class, then I don't have enough time to go to the bathroom and change it, and make it to my next class on time. I am too embarrassed to explain it to the teacher, especially when it is a man. I can't stay home every month. What do I do? Learn to use super-plus tampons. If it feels uncomfortable, put it in farther--it should be in as far as the applicator or your finger. Wear a super pad too. You should be able to make it to lunch time, or until you have an understanding female teacher. I just started my period and I just feel YUCK! I'm afraid I smell, and every time I move, sneeze or cough I can feel more gush out. Then I worry if my pad is full, and will I mess my clothes. How am I supposed to get used to this? Buy a weeks worth of black underwear (so you don't stain). Learn how to use tampons. Buy only deodorant tampons and pads (so you won't smell). Always wear a slim maxi-pad along with the tampon. When you go to the bathroom, wipe with moist wipes. Don't wear light colored clothing during your period. This should make you feel more comfortable. I Was Told copyright 2006 |
