SCHOOL I will be a high school sophomore this fall. I talked to my counselor this summer, and found out that my orchestra class (which I have been taking for 5 yrs.) will be during my sophomore lunch! I want to be with my friends, but then again, I want to be in orchestra because I found out that we were going to New York next fall. Help!
-- I would talk to my HS Counselor
(again) and see if there is a way to actually eat lunch and play in
the orchestra too. Remind the Counselor that an extracurricular
class (like Orchestra) will help you get into a good college and
possibly scholarship money. I imagine that there are rules that
forbid students from not having a lunch break.
--If you have to choose, pick Orchestra. Then learn to be the fun friend who plans get-togethers with your other friends like movie night, pizza night, etc. It might take more effort, but you won't lose any friends over this. I am 17 and a senior in high school. My parents keep pressuring me into choosing a career path and choosing a college. I really don't want a career. I just want to get married and have lots of kids. You need to face the facts, everyone has to have a job, and if you go to college first, you will make WAY more money. Many women don't find the right husband until they are 30, and very few husbands make enough money for them to stay home with the kids. And after you have had a few kids and you find out your husband is boffing his secretary, you need to have a career to fall back on. So listen to your parents, choose a career that makes money, study hard & get a good job. You can save that money to pay for a nice big house. I am 12 years old and I want to go to boarding school. I don't know how to ask them if I can go. Because they will just laugh and say that I have know idea what I am talking about. But I just really want to go. You need to do some research on boarding schools
so you sound well-informed when you state your case. Go to
http://www.boardingschoolreview.com/boardingschoolsbystate.php I hate math, I am terrible at it. I am not planning on a huge career someday. Am I every really going to use this math in real life? YES! People who lease vehicles, only make minimum payments on credit cards, rent instead of buy, drive on vacation instead of fly, don't know how to apply math to real life. I was very quiet in elementary school. I opened up a little more in Middle School. I want to be popular in Jr. High and High School. Help! Use good hygiene, shower & shampoo every day, brush your teeth often, never refuse a breath mint. Be nice to everyone, all the time. Don't gossip. Don't dress sexy or wear too much make-up. Study hard, keep up on current events. Be respectful to the teachers & staff at school. I Was Told copyright 2006 |
